Laminitis The Facts

With the arrival of spring so comes worry for the owners of ponies and horses that are prone to laminitis. This painful condition that manifests in the feet of ponies or horses is caused by the animal being overweight (lack of exercise) and having to high a grass intake. Due to extensive research over the last ten years it has been proved that being able to control both of these factors decreases the risk of laminitis significantly.
