At the launch of National Micro-Chipping Month back in June, 2009, the Giant Pet Store hosted a micro-chipping day. Organised with the SOFA (Speak Out For Animals) group from Thorpe House School, Norwich, Norfolk, The Kennel Club, and television vet Marc Abraham, the event was aimed at raising awareness of the importance of getting your pet micro-chipped, whether it be a dog, cat or other small animal.
